DERBYSHIRE police were called to investigate a man accused of spying on Frank Lampard’s training session ahead of Friday’s game with Leeds.
Derby County take on Marcelo Bielsa’s men with both teams hoping to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.
It is regarded as one of the key fixtures of the Championship season.
But nobody was expecting a dramatic ‘spygate’ scenario to play out in the build-up to the match.
A suspicious man was seen lurking around County’s training ground fence.
And Lampard was forced to stop his players from practicing their final session, with the police called as a result.
