Arne Slot to bring Feyenoord striker to Liverpool?
Arne Slot could eye a reunion with Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez after he becomes the Liverpool manager.
The Dutchman has already agreed terms over taking over from
Jurgen Klopp and an announcement is expected this week.
Slot is expected to start working on summer targets by early June and it is claimed that Gimenez could be on his radar.
The Mexican has had a fine season with Feyenoord, scoring 24 goals from 40 appearances across all competitions for them.
His form has not been the best in the back end of the campaign, but he is still expected to pursue a bigger challenge elsewhere.
Feyenoord could sell him for around €50m and Slot could bring him to Anfield to provide competition in the striker's role.
Darwin Nunez has been guilty of missing plenty of clear-cut chances while Diogo Jota has been unable to stay fit for long periods.
Cody Gakpo has likewise been disappointing. The Dutchman has failed to find the back of the net and has lacked consistency.
