17-year-old Burkina Faso starlet Lassina Traoré has swapped Ajax Cape Town for Ajax Amsterdam.
Traoré, already a full international, joined Ajax Cape Town from Rahimo FC in his native country. He will join up with Ajax in Florida for their training camp this month alongside compatriot Hassane Bandé, who is returning from a lengthy break caused by a pre-season injury.
The moves follows on from a successful trial in Amsterdam back in March.
The 20-year-old has been on fire for Jong AZ so far this season, netting 14 times in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. However, he has only made three appearances in the first-team.
AZ have taken the decision to loan out the striker this month with NEC Nijmegen swooping to take him until the end of the season.
NEC currently sit 12th in the table and hope the arrival of Druijf can help them battle for a playoff spot at the end of the season.
