Willem II climbed into the top five after a 2-1 victory over RKC Waalwijk in a Brabantse derby.

The home side celebrated the 40th anniversary of the King Willem II Stadium’s KingSide, which was populated for the clash against RKC.
After 11 minutes, Freek Heerkens headed in a free kick by Mike Trésor Ndayishimiy to give Willem II the lead. Three minutes later, Pol Llonch found space in the box and fired in a second for the home side.
Stanley Elbers pulled one back for RKC in the 20th minute with a fine finish into the top corner.
After the hectic opening the pace of the game slowed and no further goals were scored, despite Willem II going close on several occasions.
Willem II climbs to fifth while RKC remains bottom of the table.
