Juventus planning move for Chong

According to Voetbal International, Juventus are hoping to sign Dutch winger Tahith Chong from Manchester United next summer.

The 19-year-old’s contract with Manchester United expires next summer and as of yet there has been no agreement on an extension.

According to VI, Juventus and a number of other top clubs are said to be circling Chong, who is currently a Netherlands U21 international.

Chong’s agent Erkan Alkan told VI, “It is true that top clubs keep an eye on the situation around Tahith but it’s still early in the season. We are quietly waiting to see what United will bring and otherwise we will see what is best for Tahith’s development this summer.”

Chong is considered to be a big talent in Manchester but he is yet to fully break into the club’s first team. He has made two short Premier League appearances so far this season.

Buttner heads to the MLS

New England Revolution have confirmed the signing of Dutch full-back Alexander Buttner.

The defender has been a free agent for six months after leaving Vitesse Arnhem but Buttner finally has a new club.

On Friday, New England Revolution confirmed the signing of the 30-year-old.

Revolution Sporting Director and Head Coach Bruce Arena told the club’s website, “Alexander brings experience at the game’s most competitive levels, and his skill and pedigree will make him an important asset for the club on and off the field,”

Buttner has previously played for Vitesse Arnhem, Manchester United, Dinamo Moscow and Anderlecht.
