Man Utd eyeing surprise swoop for Barcelona starlet
Manchester United are planning a surprise swoop for Barcelona wonderkid Vitor Roque during the summer transfer window, as per AS.
The 19-year-old has played just over 300 minutes for the Blaugrana since his arrival last winter and his future is currently in doubt.
Barcelona want to loan him out next season amid their FFP concerns. They can't register him with La Liga, having not paid any transfer fee.
The club signed the teenager from Athletico PR for €30m plus €31m in variables, but they have yet to pay a single penny for him.
Amidst this, AS report that his entourage either want him to play for Barcelona or leave them on a permanent transfer deal.
United have already contacted the player's agent and they seem keen on bringing him to Old Trafford ahead of the 2024/25 season.
A deal would still depend on multiple exits at United. The same can be said for Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, who also admire Roque.
