Chelsea unlikely to make any high-profile signings
Chelsea are unlikely to make any high-profile signings during the ongoing transfer window, according to The Athletic.
The west London giants have so far made five signings this summer.
Tosin Adarabioyo initially arrived on a free transfer from
Fulham
.
This was followed by the acquisitions of Omari Kellyman , Marc Guiu , Kiernan Dewsbury -Hall and most recently Renato Veiga .
None of them can be considered as marquee signings and reports claim that the trend could be similar for the rest of the transfer window .
The Blues are not planning to spend big money on any recruit and are instead prepared to trust the quality within the current first-team squad.
The London giants were very unlucky with injuries last season and they are hoping for better fortunes with a full-strength squad next term.
Chelsea are still in the transfer market, but they are aiming to purchase players who can add depth rather than a guaranteed starter.
Fulham 's Andreas Pereira has recently emerged as an option.
