Joao Felix will return to West London for a second spell, having previously been with the Blues on loan in 2023.

A season at Barcelona followed that, and the 24-year-old returned seven goals in 30 La Liga games, after which the Catalan side decided against a permanent deal.

The news follows on from today's revelations that Raheem Sterling is looking for an exit from Stamford Bridge, and could be headed for Saudi Arabia.

Chelsea have already spent big this summer and do need to balance the books, and several reporters suggest that a move for Conor Gallagher could be back on, with the England international seemingly destined for Atletico Madrid before the end of the transfer window .
