Man Utd agree to sell 21yo midfielder to Burnley
Manchester United have agreed to sell midfielder Hannibal Mejbri to Burnley on a permanent basis, according to The Telegraph.
The Tunisia international made only 10 appearances for the Red Devils last term and he was loaned out to Sevilla in January.
His time in Spain was equally disappointing with only six appearances and he has now chosen to drop to the Championship.
Mejbri underwent a medical with the Clarets earlier today and he is expected to sign a permanent contract in the next 24 hours.
Burnley were initially aiming to sign him on loan with an obligation to buy, but United requested a permanent transfer up front.
Mejbri will be guaranteed regular playing time with the Clarets and he will be aiming to secure top-flight promotion this season.
The 21-year-old failed to impress manager Erik ten Hag and now has the opportunity to prove his credentials with a new club.
Aside from Mejbri, Scott McTominay is also expected to leave United in the coming hours. He is on his way to Serie A with Napoli.
