Chris Sutton reacts to Man Utd's defeat vs Spurs
Former Premier League star Chris Sutton has said that manager Erik ten Hag could be sacked after Manchester United's dreadful performance against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The Red Devils have had a poor start to the campaign and the trend continued with a heavy loss to Spurs at Old Trafford. United were down to 10 men before the break, but they were second-best prior to that too.
Speaking after the game, Sutton said that today's performance from United is worthy of the manager being dismissed from the helm, he said: "That's the type of performance which gets the manager the sack."
United have dropped to 12th in the Premier League table after the shock loss to Spurs. They are now six points behind the Champions League places after just six games into the new campaign.
The Red Devils face a tough league trip to Aston Villa before the international break. A defeat to the Villans at Villa Park could spell the end of Ten Hag's tenure at United.
