The Netherlands international joined the Red Devils from Bologna this summer and he has had a frustrating start to his career.

The Dutchman scored on his debut off the bench and he has since missed plenty of clear-cut chances for the Mancunian giants.

It is now reported that the Bianconeri are planning to make a surprise move for Zirkzee under the recommendation of Thiago Motta .

Motta worked together with Zirkzee during their time at Bologna and he has reportedly urged the Turin giants to secure his services.

The Bianconeri have no plans to pay a transfer fee for Zirkzee and they are likely to propose a direct swap deal with Dusan Vlahovic .

Vlahovic has failed to make a huge impression for the Serie A outfit and he is reportedly open to the prospect of moving to England.
