Arsenal can sign Ligue 1 striker for just £20m this winter
Arsenal will have the opportunity to sign Lille striker Jonathan David on a cut-price deal during the January transfer window.
The Frenchman had a superb 2023/24 season with Les Dogues, registering 26 goals across all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit.
Despite this, he ended up staying at Lille, considering no clubs were willing to meet the reported £35m asking price set by them.
The scenario could change at the turn of the year. With David reluctant to pen fresh terms, Lille could be forced to sanction his sale.
His current deal expires at the end of the season, the French outfit are expected to offload him than losing him for nothing.
Arsenal are one of his main admirers and reports claim that they could prise him away for a bargain fee in the region of £20m.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also keeping tabs on the former Gent man. He is being tracked by Spanish and Italian clubs too.
