Definitely out: Mikel Arteta confirms Arsenal duo won't be facing Newcastle
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Riccardo Calafiori and Martin Odegaard won't be facing Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners have picked up just one point from the last two league games and they need a huge response against
Eddie Howe
's side at St James' Park.
Ahead of the encounter, the Gunners boss has confirmed that Calafiori won't be involved as he continues to recover from a minor knee problem.
Odegaard has returned to the grass after his ankle sprain, but he is not deemed to be ready to face the Magpies on the road in tomorrow's league game.
Arteta said: "Riccardo and Martin are out definitely."
Ben White did not train with the main group due to a knee problem and Arteta added that the defender will be assessed before the trip.
He added: "With Ben, we don’t know yet. He hasn’t trained yet. He could not train, he could not get involved, so let’s wait and see if he’s available. This is related more to a joint."
