The Red Devils played out a 1-1 draw against the Blues in the Premier League yesterday and Casemiro had a good showing.

Speaking after the game, Nistelrooy said that the Brazilian ace was excellent with his performance and he was a leader on the pitch.

Casemiro's future was a major topic of speculation last summer and there were claims that he could be offloaded to a Saudi club.

However, the 32-year-old eventually stayed with the Red Devils and it has proved a blessing in disguise with his return to peak form.

Casemiro will be aiming to maintain the same level over the coming days in order to keep his starting spot under new boss Ruben Amorim .

Amorim will take charge of United during the international break and will make his dug-out debut at Ipswich Town on November 24.
