Forgotten United star set for major role under Ruben Amorim
Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount is expected to become a key player under new manager Ruben Amorim, according to The Sun.
The England international has had a tough career with the Red Devils and he has managed less than 1000 minutes in the top-flight since joining the club from
Chelsea in the summer of 2023.
Mount has already picked up two injuries in the current season, but he is expected to recover in time for the restart after the international break.
It is now revealed that Amorim will make the midfielder a key part of his plans. Mount could partner Bruno Fernandes in the number 10 role.
Amorim likes to operate with a 3-4-2-1 formation and Mount could be one of the inverting wingers alongside Fernandes in the new look set-up.
Mount has been a fringe player due to his regular injuries over the past 18 months, but he could get a new lease of life under the new manager.
