'Nothing special': Pep Guardiola reacts after Man Utd stun Man City
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has sent his reaction following the club's 2-1 Premier League defeat to Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium.
The Cityzens went into the game as slight favourites and they took a deserved lead through
Josko Gvardiol before the break. United did not muster a shot on target.
The reigning champions had a relatively comfortable second half until the 86th minute when a comedy of errors from Matheus Nunes contributed to a needless penalty.
Bruno Fernandes converted the effort with ease. Amad Diallo who had won the penalty, bagged the winner in the end after beating goalkeeper Ederson to the ball.
Speaking after the game, Guardiola said that United did nothing special and City were responsible for giving away two goals during the closing minutes.
He said: "They had more possession first half but nothing special. We give away two goals, very difficult."
With the loss, Manchester City have dropped to fifth in the table while United remain 13th in the standings. The latter are now six points behind the top four.
