'Huge loss': Enzo Maresca confirms bad injury news on Chelsea star
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has acknowledged that Wesley Fofana could be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign with a hamstring injury.
The Blues have had a good first half to the season, but their performances have dipped over recent weeks. They have picked up one point from the last three league games.
Chelsea will be aiming to return to winning ways against Crystal Palace on the road. Ahead of the encounter, Maresca has confirmed some bad news on the injury front.
Fofana has been missing for the last month with a hamstring issue and Maresca has now revealed that he could be on the sidelines for the whole campaign.
He told reporters: "Unfortunately, there’s a risk Wesley Fofana could be out for the entire season. Initial feeling was for 5 weeks but then more tests gave us bad news. We don't know exactly yet, but it's a huge loss."
Chelsea are currently fourth in the standings with 35 points. They face a tough challenge against Crystal Palace , who have been in relatively good form in the last month.
