Cunha is open to pursuing a bigger challenge away from Wolves , but the club remain optimistic of committing him to a new long-term contract.

His current deal does not expire until the summer of 2027, but Wolves realise that they need to hand him a wage hike to keep him happy.

Arsenal are yet to make a formal approach for his services, but reports claim that it could take a premium fee to persuade Wolves into a sale.

The Gunners may need to offer at least £60 million to tempt Wolves into sanctioning his exit before the winter transfer deadline on February 3.
