SOL BAMBA has gone from hero to zero after getting himself in the doghouse following Cardiff's win over Southampton.
The Ivorian defender, 34, stabbed home the Bluebirds' opener and raced straight to the away end - hugging the first fan to reach him.
Noah Bushby was the lucky man and tweeted Bamba after the game insisting it was worth breaking his glasses to celebrate with the popular ace.
Bamba replied: "Sorry for your glasses big man, you hugged me way harder than my wife ever did!"
His tweet went down a storm, until wife Chloe got involved, tweeting: "WTAF. Just u wait".
Cardiff fans are well aware that Bamba's better half is known for having a laugh on Twitter, with the celebrations of last season's promotion a particular highlight.
But just to be sure, the centre-back said he was sorry as he headed home from a crucial win.
Victory saw Cardiff move above Southampton and out of the relegation zone as Kenneth Zohore scored a dramatic injury-time winner.
The Danish striker - who has looked sharp in recent games off the bench - roared "I'm back" after his strike.
And Bluebirds fans will hope he is right as an in-form Zohore could be the difference between relegation and staying up.
CEO Ken Choo has already promised to buy Bushby a new pair of glasses in a move that was applauded by supporters.
