Goalkeeper Bernd Leno has claimed that Arsenal are ready to capitalise on any mistakes from the club's rivals in the race for fourth position in the Premier League table.

Arsenal have endured an indifferent top-flight campaign, but the Gunners find themselves just one point adrift of Manchester United with 13 matches remaining.

Chelsea are also in the hunt for the final Champions League spot, but Leno has backed the North London outfit to outlast their nearest rivals.

The German stopper is quoted by the London Evening Standard as saying: "It is a good competition between all the teams. Chelsea played Manchester City and the gap to Manchester United is one point, so everything is possible.

"We wait for the other teams and if they make mistakes. We do our work to win every game and on Saturday we did the job. In two weeks, we have another league game and we want to work hard. Our last away win [in the league] was at Bournemouth in November. It was important for us to win and also to win away."

Arsenal registered a 2-1 victory at Huddersfield Town at the weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur fear missing out on French midfielder?

The France international has already declined a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain beyond the summer and this has recently witnessed him excluded from the club's first-team duties.

Amidst this, Spurs have been regularly linked with the 23-year-old but according to The Star, they could miss out on his signature due to interest from other top-profile clubs.

Rabiot has envisaged the desire to play for Barcelona over the years and it is suggested that the Blaugrana could compete with Liverpool for the Frenchman's signature during the summer.

Spurs are currently eight points behind the top of the Premier League standings but the deficit could be reduced to five, should they win their game in hand against Burnley later in the month.

The Blues usually arrive to training at 2pm, but the stony-faced squad cruised into Cobham three hours earlier than planned for a warm down.

Sarri has no time to waste before his team fly to Sweden to face Malmo in the Europa League later this week.

Chelsea have now slumped to sixth in the Premier League table after Pep Guardiola's side ran riot at the Etihad.

Sergio Aguero bagged a hat-trick, Raheem Sterling scored twice and Ilkay Gundogan found the net to pile the pressure on Sarri.

Sarri clearly had a sour taste in his mouth after the match when he refused to shake Guardiola's hand.

And his players looked disheartened as they rocked up to training in their fleet of incredible supercars.

After the devastating defeat to City, Sarri admitted that his job at Stamford Bridge is hanging in the balance.

When he was asked if he feared the sack, he said: "I don't know. You have to ask the club.

"I am worried about my team, I'm worried about the performance. But my job is always at risk."

And the Blues boss, who took over from Antonio Conte in July 2018, took a swipe at club owner Roman Abramovich.

He said: "If the president calls, I'll be happy, seeing as I never hear from him."

But pundit Gary Neville believes that Chelsea sacking the 60-year-old would show the club are "weak."
