OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has told Ed Woodward: I’ll make Manchester United great again in two years.

The interim boss is now ahead of Spurs’ Mauricio Pochettino and promises great things if he gets the job permanently.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is unbeaten in his ten games in charge of Manchester United

Solskjaer said: “Challenging for every trophy, that’s what we should be about.

“Two years’ time is long enough, but it’s also short enough, to say that we’ve got the possibility to make a big difference.”

Woodward, United’s executive vice-chairman, will make his choice in the summer.

But Solskjaer revealed: “I’ve got a picture of what this Man United team should look like in a couple of years.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is a target of United in the summer

“I put my views to Ed Woodward and the club. If we don’t dream and we don’t have that vision of where we are going then we will just falter.

“We’ve got the resources and the infrastructure and the history to move towards the top — and that is the only way we should think about things at Man United.”

United face lowly Fulham today looking to stretch a ten-match unbeaten run since Solskjaer replaced the axed Jose Mourinho.

That streak which helped the Norwegian win the Premier League manager of the month prize.

Striker Marcus Rashford also won the player of the month award.

It is the first time a United player and boss have got the award in the same month since Alex Ferguson and Dimitar Berbatov in 2011.

Leno insists Arsenal ready to pounce if Man Utd and Chelsea slip up in top-4 race

ARSENAL stopper Bernd Leno has warned Chelsea and Manchester United not to slip up if they want Champions League football.

The Gunners are currently fifth in the table, just one point outside the top four, after edging past Huddersfield on Saturday.

United are in pole position following their incredible change in fortunes under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while the struggling Blues lost 6-0 to Manchester City yesterday.

Leno, 26, said:  “We wait for the other teams and if they make mistakes. We do our work to win every game and on Saturday we did the job.

“In two weeks, we have another League game and we want to work hard. Our last away win [in the League] was at Bournemouth in November. It was important for us to win and also to win away.

“In the first half we played very well and had good control. We lost the control a bit but we defended very strong, we worked as a team.

“Everybody worked very hard and we were unlucky to concede the goal but overall it was a deserved win.”

Arsenal boss Unai Emery was delighted with his side's performance against the Terriers, which saw Alex Iwobi star.

He said: "Good victory and good work; today I think our work was very good.

"We didn't win away from home in a long time and we are closer to the top four.

"A clean sheet is another thing we want before every match but we spoke about a lot of things about the match and the win is the first thing, we just had to score one goal more than them.

"The attitude is great from everybody."

Chelsea hint Sarri will not be sacked this week by announcing his Europa League press conference for Wednesday

MAURIZIO SARRI will lead Chelsea’s Europa League press conference for Wednesday, suggesting he will not be sacked this week.

Sarri has come under fire in recent weeks after the Blues suffered three loses in their last four games.

Chelsea manager Sarri Sarri has come under fire in recent weeks after the Blues suffered three loses in their last four games

The worst of the bunch came yesterday, as Manchester City hit six past a helpless Chelsea - handing the Blues a record breaking Premier League defeat.

After the dismal run, that has seen Chelsea lose their last three consecutive away matches, odds have been slashed on Sarri becoming the latest premature Stamford Bridge sacking.

Ex-Real Madrid boss Zideane Zidane and former PSG manager Laurent Blanc have emerged as odds on favourites to replace Sarri, if he is to be fired.

However, a press release including Sarri’s name ahead of Chelsea’s Europa League round of 32 tie against Malmo suggest the Italian will not yet depart from London.

Chelsea travel to Sweden ahead of their first leg against Malmo and the Chelsea boss will face the press one day before the game.

Despite the Blues poor league form, Sarri and his men are still involved in all three cups competitions.

Next week the FA Cup holders host Man United at Stamford Bridge in the fifth round.

Chelsea then play Man City again, one week after their FA Cup tie against United - as they meet the league champions at Wembley in the League Cup final.
