CRYSTAL PALACE sporting director Dougie Freedman is jetting back to England to finalise Aaron Wan-Bissaka's move to Manchester United.

Freedman has been in Italy watching the Under-21 Euros, where Wan-Bissaka was part of the England squad that crashed out at the group stages.

United's top negotiator Matt Judge is set to talk to Freedman over a deal starting at £50million up front for the Palace right-back.

Freedman has been back at Selhurst Park for two years after leaving the club as manager and having spells at Bolton and Nottingham Forest.

He helped the club land Michy Batshuayi on loan last season and also pulled off a deal for Germany midfielder Max Meyer.

There is hope that Wan-Bissaka's return from England Under-21 duty will accelerate the full-back's dream move to Old Trafford.

United have so far seen their opening offer rejected after bidding £35m plus add-ons deemed unrealistic by Palace.

Palace are looking for at least £45m up front, equalling the cash Manchester City paid Tottenham for Kyle Walker.

The add-ons for the deal would make Wan-Bissaka a record signing for a full-back in the Premier League.
