ARSENAL want to poach two of Manchester United's leading scouts as part of a major scouting overhaul, it has been claimed.

Dave Harrison and Lyndon Tomlinson - who joined United from rivals Manchester City in 2017 - are widely regarded as the best in their field and the Gunners are reportedly keen.

Having kick-started a transformation of their youth set up, Arsenal are poised to make a move for the pair, according to the Mail.

And the Gunners are also said to be keen on Manchester City's head of youth recruitment Joe Shields who they would like to see play a leading role in their new structure.

Steve Morrow - Arsenal's former head of youth recruitment - was the first casualty of the shake up.

And more heads are likely to role as the North Londoners try to get ahead of the game in the hunt for the next big star.

The move may come as a surprise to some given Arsenal's wealth of young talent currently coming through.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have all got first team minutes under Unai Emery and have impressed on the whole.

Harrison and Tomlinson's work has also been on show at Old Trafford recently as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has put his faith in youth this season.

Mason Greenwood, James Garner, Tahith Chong, Brandon Williams and Angel Gomes are just some of the United academy products who have been given a chance in red this season.
