JURGEN KLOPP left reporters in stitches after he ran away from Pep Guardiola at a Uefa coaches summit in Switzerland.

The pair both attended the Elite Club Coaches Forum the day after Klopp's Liverpool beat Guardiola's Manchester City 3-1 in a game full of major talking points.

Guardiola was fuming with referee Michael Oliver after the match where he could be seen sarcastically shouting "Thank you so much, thank you so much" to him.

Speaking after the game, he said: "Ask the referees, don't ask me. Ask Mike Riley and the guys in VAR.

"I would like to talk about our performance, it was so good. It was one of the best performances we have played."

But Klopp stated that the duo have no problem with each other in a hilarious interview that saw him legging it away from the ex-Barcelona gaffer.

The German was asked by a reporter, "Did you speak with Pep?", but didn't understand his question after the journalist mispronounced the Spaniard's first name.

JU MUST BE JOKING

Klopp replied by saying: "Pepe? Who is Pepe?"

After the confusion was cleared, he laughed and said: "Of course we spoke, why shouldn't we speak?"

At that precise moment he spotted the 48-year-old coming round the corner and whispered: "Pep Guardiola is coming!"

He then jokingly ran off camera much to the amusement of the reporters around him.

Both Klopp and Guardiola were in agreement at the summit in Nyon where they stated that VAR is not working.

Klopp said: "With VAR, handball, offside, it is clear there is a process where we have to keep on improving. There were good ideas from Uefa how we can sort things from the referees, so everybody is in on it.

“There is still space for mistakes. These things are done by human beings and none of us is perfect. But it is about improving it. Nobody is asking for perfection, you just want to have the right decisions.”

When Guardiola was asked whether VAR could be made right, he simply commented: "I don't know."

Patrick Vieira insists Emery can get club through Arsenal crisis and says changing manager ‘will not fix problems’

PATRICK VIEIRA has told Arsenal fans to lay off Unai Emery and give him the chance to turn the club's fortunes around.

Emery has been given until the new year to make changes after growing under increasing pressure at the Emirates after a run of form which has seen them win just one of their last seven matches in all competitions.

Patrick Vieira says Unai Emery must be given more time by Arsenal and their fans

Arsenal are without a victory in the Premier League since the first week in October and have now slipped down to sixth in the table.

They are now behind Sheffield United on goal difference and eight points off Manchester City who occupy fourth spot.

With their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season by finishing in the top four decreasing by the week, the Gunners fans have started to call for Emery to be sacked.

But club legend Vieira says now is not the time to make a rash decision, and urged the supporters to give the 48-year-old more time to deliver.

Vieira said:"It's true Arsenal are going through a tough spell.

"But I haven't watched all their matches, so I can't talk about their game

"They have a coach who is qualified and who works well. When a club is having a difficult time, it's important to be united.

"I think he has enough experience to get them through this difficult spell.

"We have to get behind him and give him time to change things.

"I am not sure a change of manager will fix the problems."

Arsenal have an ideal opportunity to reverse their fortunes and string together a good run of results with their next three games against Southampton, Norwich and Brighton.
