Chelsea striker makes permanent move to France
Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has made the permanent switch to Marseille on a free transfer.
The Gabon star joined the Blues from Barcelona last summer. He was a fringe player for the club with just three goals in all competitions.
Aubameyang was the subject of interest from Saudi Arabian clubs recently, but he was quite clear that he wanted to continue in Europe.
Chelsea have now mutually released Aubameyang from his contract such that he can join Les Phoceens on a free transfer agreement.
Aubameyang has accepted a 50 per cent pay-cut with the French outfit. He has penned a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 giants.
The forward has looked a lost figure over the past year, and he will be aiming to revive his career with the switch to a new league.
Aside from Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson -Odoi are also expected to head for the exit door before the end of the month.
