Man Utd suffer injury blow during Arsenal friendly win
Manchester United winger Amad Diallo sustained an ankle injury during the 2-0 friendly win over Arsenal on Saturday night.
The Ivorian started the first two games of the pre-season campaign, and he was introduced at the 45th-minute mark yesterday.
However, he lasted for just over 10 minutes before suffering an ankle issue. He hobbled off the pitch to be replaced soon after.
It is now revealed that the attacker left the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on crutches. His left ankle was heavily strapped.
No further information has been provided by the Red Devils, but it seems the youngster could miss the rest of pre-season.
In the worst case scenario, he could be sidelined for many months with ligament damage. United fans will be hoping that's not the case.
Amad has been touted to leave on loan to a top-flight club this term, but that may not happen until January if his injury is serious.
Feyenoord and Atalanta are among his main admirers.
