Chelsea midfielder could join Spurs or West Ham
Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has made the decision to leave the club amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
The England international had a brilliant 2021/22 season on loan with
Crystal Palace
, but struggled to replicate the showing with the Blues last term amid inconsistent game time.
Gallagher is now prepared to consider his future away from the club, considering the vast competition for places in the playmaker department for the Blues.
Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino has been an admirer of the creative midfielder, but accepts that he can't block his departure as he may not be a regular starter.
Spurs and Hammers are lining up for his signature. The Blues are likely to request at least £40 million for the 23-year-old, who can play anywhere in midfield.
Newcastle United were also heavily linked with him earlier this year, but have cooled their pursuit after landing Sandro Tonali from AC Milan for £60m.
