Arsenal agree personal terms with Spanish star
Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Brentford goalkeeper David Raya ahead of a potential transfer.
The north London giants opened talks for the Spain international yesterday, and they are now making quick progress.
The Gunners have agreed a deal in principle with the 27-year-old, and the onus is now on negotiating a transfer fee.
Brentford initially valued Raya in the region of £40m, but they are unlikely to receive the figure at the current point in the window.
With Raya having just 11 months left on his contract, the west London side could come to a compromise to sell him this summer.
Arsenal should be optimistic of landing his signature for around £20-25m plus add-ons based on their achievements.
Should the club strike a deal for the Spaniard, it is expected that Matt Turner would be permitted to leave the club.
The USA international is currently on the radar of Nottingham Forest . He could leave the Gunners for a fee of £18m.
