Man Utd weighing up move for Euro 2020 winner
Manchester United are weighing up a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti ahead of the transfer deadline.
The Red Devils have had a mixed start to the Premier League season with just three points from their opening two matches against
Wolves and Spurs.
The club were lucky to beat Wolves at Old Trafford and against Spurs, they were largely second best following the half-time interval.
Their midfield was dominated in both of those outings, and there are no surprises that United are looking for an experienced option.
Verratti has been told to leave Les Parisiens after 11 seasons, and he is eyeing a bigger challenge. United have now entered the pursuit.
Les Parisiens recently turned down an offer of €30 million from Al-Hilal and it has been reported that they are looking for at least €60m for him.
United can't afford such an amount with FFP issues at the moment, but they could propose to pay a lesser fee through multiple instalments.
