Arsenal confirm contract termination for winger
Arsenal have today confirmed that they have terminated the contract of winger Nicolas Pepe.
The Ivorian spent the previous season on loan with Nice where he was hampered by injuries.
This summer, he was touted to leave on a free for some time, and the Gunners have finally released him.
Meanwhile, Pepe has already joined Trabzonspor on a free transfer and it was confirmed two days ago.
It was initially suggested that Arsenal would receive £3 million for his exit, but that is not the case.
The club have possibly saved part of his wages by mutually agreeing to terminate his contract.
Apart from Pepe, Cedric Soares has been linked with a move away from the Emirates for a while.
We won't be surprised if the Portuguese is released from his contract to join a club in Turkey soon.
Cedric has been associated with a move to Besiktas in the last few days, but he needs to accept a pay-cut.
