Man City planning shock move for Chelsea graduate?
Manchester City could make a shock approach to sign Chelsea graduate Ian Maatsen with his contract expiring next summer.
The Dutchman spent the previous season on loan with Burnley . He was impressive as they got promoted to the Premier League.
The Blues were willing to sell him for £31m to the Clarets this summer, but the left-back decided to reject the transfer proposal.
Maatsen is currently in the final year of his contract at the club and as things stand, he has yet to commit to a new long-term deal.
It is now reported by 90min that Pep Guardiola 's side are keeping tabs on Maatsen and could make a move for him next year.
The Cityzens currently have Josko Gvardiol and Nathan Ake as left-back choices, but neither are specialists in the position.
Maatsen could be considered as a long-term option for the Cityzens. It is left to be seen whether they aim to sign him in January.
