Brentford want £35m to sell Manchester United target
Brentford are looking for at least £35 million to part ways with left-back Rico Henry, according to Football Insider.
The Englishman was linked with a late move to Old Trafford this summer following injuries to
Luke Shaw and
Tyrell Malacia
.
However, a deal never materialised in the end. Manchester United were only exploring a loan move which Brentford were not keen.
It is now reported that the Bees are open to selling their prized asset next year if they receive a package of £35 million.
It is unlikely that United will revive their interest, but clubs such as Aston Villa could be interested in signing him.
The Villans looked at the option of bringing in Marcos Acuna from Sevilla before he picked up a hamstring injury.
They could return for the Argentine in the New Year, but the club could also be tempted by the availability of Henry.
The 26-year-old has been one of the Premier League's most consistent full-backs. He is likely to pursue a bigger club soon.
