Tottenham to make fresh move for Chelsea midfielder
Tottenham Hotspur could make a fresh approach to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher during the January transfer window.
The north London giants were interested in landing the England international over the summer, but failed to reach a suitable agreement.
They had proposed to sign him on loan with an option to buy, but the Blues only wanted a permanent sale in the region of £50 million.
Gallagher has been a mainstay under manager Mauricio Pochettino , but his minutes could be limited once the Blues are at full strength.
Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia are currently injured. There is a good chance that the duo could partner Enzo Fernandez in future.
Meanwhile, Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr have been Spurs' main duo in midfield, but manager Ange Postecoglou wants more quality.
Gallagher is seen as a potential addition to the squad in January with the prospect of Pierre- Emile Hojbjerg leaving for a reasonable price.
Hojbjerg was an undisputed starter at Tottenham under former managers, but he is clearly not in the plans of Postecoglou going forward.
