Brighton star turned down Manchester United move?
Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson decided to continue at the club amid summer interest from Manchester United.
The Red Devils were keen on landing a young marksman in the recent transfer window and Ferguson's name was considered.
However, they eventually landed Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta instead. The Dane was signed for a reported fee of around £72m.
It is now reported that United had engaged with the entourage of Ferguson over a possible transfer during the recent transfer window .
However, the striker did not receive any positive signals from their hierarchy and eventually decided to stay committed to the Seagulls.
Ferguson has been in fine form for the South Coast outfit this term and he has already netted four goals including a sublime hat-trick.
Brighton only recently committed him to a new long-term contract, but they are braced for his departure at the end of the campaign.
They are expected to hold out for £100 million next summer.
