Mikel Arteta confirms fresh knocks for two Arsenal stars
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus picked up knocks during the 4-0 win over Bournemouth.
The Gunners returned to winning ways in the Premier League today with a convincing victory over the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium.
Towards the end of the game, Saka was substituted after picking up an injury. He was spotted limping off the field by the cameras.
Speaking after the win, Arteta said that he has not spoken with Saka yet over his issue, but Jesus was also limping after the game.
He said: "I don’t know yet I haven’t had a chance to speak to him, I think this one was a stamp, it wasn’t the same area, I don’t know and Gabi was limping after the game, let’s see how they are."
The Gunners have now picked up five wins and two draws in the opening seven games. They remain unbeaten across all competitions.
The club face RC Lens in the Champions League in midweek before the much-awaited clash against Manchester City in the Premier League.
