Erik ten Hag confirms 23yo is ready to start vs Brentford
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Antony is ready to start against Brentford in the Premier League.
The Brazil international was recently away from the club for personal reasons and only returned to team training on Monday.
He was a substitute in the 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray in midweek and Ten Hag has now confirmed that he is ready to start again.
Bruno Fernandes operated from the right wing on Tuesday. Hannibal Mejbri and Christian Eriksen shared the number 10 role.
With Antony back in contention to start, Fernandes is likely to revert to his preferred attacking midfield position against the Bees.
United have had a disastrous start to the campaign and they have picked up only nine points from the opening seven league games.
As a result, they are already playing catch up in the top four race. They are currently seven points adrift of the last Champions League spot.
Tomorrow's game at Old Trafford is already a must-win for them.
