Chelsea midfielder suffers fresh setback, out until December
Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia has suffered a fresh setback which could keep him out of action until early December.
The Belgian joined the Blues from Southampton for £55 million over the summer but got injured before making his club debut.
The teenager was anticipated to return from a knee injury next month, but the slow nature of his recovery is expected to delay his debut.
The Blues have the position well covered with Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez , but would have liked Lavia in the matchday squad.
The teenager is regarded as one of the best young defensive midfielders and could have a huge future ahead at the west London side.
Arsenal and Liverpool were also linked with him earlier this summer. The Reds made an offer but he was convinced to join the Blues.
The club's faithful will be hoping that Lavia makes a swift recovery such that he is available for the festive schedule before January.
