Man Utd want £61m star to replace Casemiro
Manchester United have identified Benfica wonderkid Joao Neves as a replacement for Casemiro at the end of the season, according to El Nacional.
The Red Devils signed Casemiro for £60m from Real Madrid last summer and he had a brilliant debut campaign with several stand-out displays.
However, he has struggled to replicate those performances and was recently substituted at the half-time interval against Brentford at Old Trafford.
It is now reported that the veteran regrets the decision to leave Madrid in the first place and there is uncertainty over his future with the Red Devils.
United are already looking into his successor. They have their sights on Neves, who has grabbed big attention since his breakthrough at Benfica.
The teenager is brilliant with the ball at his feet, but he is also good in winning duels and does not shy away from tackling opponents.
He could be prised away for around £61 million. His arrival could coincide with the departure of Casemiro, who is on the radar of Saudi clubs.
