Neves is a defensive midfielder by trade but he has the ability to play in the number eight role and can also feature as a right winger.

His versatility has caught the eye of United this term and reports claim that they have already spoken with his agent Jorge Mendes .

Mendes has a good relationship with United right from the time of Cristiano Ronaldo 's first stint and this could help in Neves' pursuit.

Aside from the Red Devils, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also tracking the youngster extensively ahead of the summer.

Neves currently has a release clause worth €120 million in his contract and Benfica may not accept anything less to sanction his sale at the end of the season.
