Man Utd pushing to sign 16-goal striker in January?
Manchester United are reportedly lining up a move for in-form Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy.
The Guinean star has been a revelation for the Bundesliga outfit this season, scoring 16 goals from just 11 games.
His form has caught the eye of many teams and Foot Mercato claim that United are planning to swoop for him.
The striker currently has a low release clause of just €17m in his contract which United are looking to trigger.
No negotiations have been held with Stuttgart. United may not require to do so if they activate the buy-out clause.
Guirassy has opened the door to leaving Stuttgart in the New Year despite the club transforming his fortunes.
He is looking to pursue a bigger challenge in his career as he is already 27 and could be past his prime soon.
The striker would be a bargain signing for United with the low cost. He may not command a huge salary.
Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur could provide competition in the pursuit of the former Rennes man.
