Man Utd midfielder set to double his wages soon
Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is set to double his wages due to a clause in his contract, according to The Sun.
The United graduate had a brilliant start to pre-season with the Red Devils, but he unfortunately picked up a knee injury.
As a result, he was sidelined for several months and had to wait until late November to make his full league debut.
Mainoo has since impressed with his performances from the number six role and he will soon be rewarded for his efforts.
The Sun reveal that Mainoo currently earns £10,000-a-week and his salary will be doubled after a few more appearances.
The youngster's current deal does not expire until the summer of 2027, but United could negotiate another contract soon.
Mainoo is regarded as a huge prospect and manager Erik ten Hag has shown that he is prepared to start him regularly.
He has got the nod over Sofyan Amrabat in midfield which reveals the level of confidence from the manager in his ability.
