Arsenal enter race to sign another Bayern Munich target
Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign Bayern Munich target Joao Palhinha at the turn of the year.
The Portuguese was expected to join Bayern Munich in a deal worth €60m last summer, but the move broke down at the final hurdle.
He had agreed personal terms and undergone a medical with Bayern, but Fulham recalled him after failing to land a replacement.
Palhinha has since signed a new long-term deal at the club, but he is likely to leave the Cottagers in either January or next summer.
Bayern are fancied to return for his services, but reports claim that they are not alone and could face competition from the Gunners.
The Gunners beat the German champions to the signing of Declan Rice and David Raya last summer and could repeat the same.
Palhinha is said to be interested in a move to Munich, but the chance to stay in London with a title challenger could change his stance.
