Arsenal open talks with wonderkid over new deal
Arsenal have opened talks with teenage defender Reuell Walters over a new contract amid interest from Premier League and European clubs.
The 19-year-old is considered as one of the best young talents in the academy, but he has yet to make his senior debut for the Gunners.
Walters could make his senior bow against PSV tomorrow and ahead of the game, it is claimed that talks are underway over an extension.
The centre-back's current deal expires at the end of the campaign and he will be free to discuss a pre-contract with a foreign side in January.
Arsenal are desperate to avoid the situation and they are keen for him to commit his long-term future by signing a fresh deal with them.
Walters has been in the matchday squads for the past few games, but he has not got a look in with the high competition for places thus far.
The youngster may want the assurance of game time going forward.
