Man Utd handed boost in signing 18-goal striker
Manchester United have been handed a boost in signing Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy with the German club preparing for his exit.
Guirassy has been in sensational form for the Bundesliga outfit this term with 18 goals in the space of just 14 games in all competitions.
This has led to suggestions that he could leave in January and it appears Stuttgart have accepted their fate ahead of the New Year.
The club have been unable to convince the striker into penning a new deal and he will therefore leave if his €18m release clause is triggered.
United are one of his main admirers and they are expected to pay the fee, considering their lack of firepower in the Premier League.
The Red Devils have netted only 18 goals in the top-flight this term which is just one more than Luton in 18th have managed so far.
Guirassy would be a good addition at the midway stage of the season to improve their chances of making the top four in the league.
