Daniel Sturridge reacts after Man Utd draw vs Liverpool
Daniel Sturridge has said that Manchester United will be delighted after picking up a point against Liverpool in the Premier League.
The Red Devils suffered a damaging 7-0 loss at Anfield last season and there were suggestions that they could concede plenty today.
However, the club showed tremendous defensive resolve and they managed to secure a point which seemed unlikely before the game.
Speaking after the game, Sturridge said that United were expected to lose by everyone and they will be delighted with the outcome.
He told BBC Sport: "Everybody expected Manchester United to lose this game. They've put a performance together where they've managed to defend very well. They'll be delighted going home with a point."
The goalless stalemate in the derby sees United climb up to 28 points for the campaign and they are now six behind fourth-placed Man City .
United's next game will be against West Ham United on the road and it could be another tough one. The Hammers beat Wolves 3-0 today.
