Kepa Arrizabalaga set for Chelsea return?
Kepa Arrizabalaga could return to Chelsea next summer as Real Madrid have no plans of signing him on a permanent basis.
The Spaniard made a surprise move to Madrid on loan last summer after the Blues made the decision to sign Robert Sanchez from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Arrizabalaga was a regular starter in the initial weeks at Madrid, but he has lost his place to Andriy Lunin since his adductor injury.
Lunin is now considered as the potential back-up to Thibaut Courtois . The Belgian will return from a serious knee injury next term.
As a result, Arrizabalaga will return to Stamford Bridge after the loan stint, the Blues have a big job on their hands to offload him.
His current wages have hampered a permanent exit and the Blues could decide to terminate his contract during the summer.
Bayern Munich were interested in signing him last summer, but they are unlikely to return for him after he turned them down.
