Saudi Arabian outfit close in on Miguel Almiron
Newcastle United midfielder Miguel Almiron looks set to leave St James' Park this month, as the Paraguay international appears to be on the verge of a move to Al Shabab. Almiron missed the Toon Army's match against Fulham last week, raising suspicion
Manager Eddie Howe appears to keen to keep hold of the player, but admits that he is in the dark on the player's long-term future.
It is understood that the player has a $10 million a year offer with a potential move to Saudi Arabia.
"Miggy has been so important for us, last year he was an important goal-getter for us. This year he has worked incredibly hard. He has been reliable for us when he is fit," said Howe.
"That has been vitally important for us when we have had injuries to our attacking players. So he is not underestimated by me in terms of his personality and what he produces on the pitch so of course I'd like to keep him. I'm not in hourly contact with what's going on and I'm a step removed. There is a possibility someone could leave I made that clear. That hasn't changed we have to wait to see what happens."
