Tottenham Hotspur plan summer move for Conor Gallagher
Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a summer move for midfielder Conor Gallagher amid the uncertainty over his future at Chelsea.
The England international has been a key player for the Blues this term and he recently scored a match-winning brace against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
This has not stopped the speculation regarding his future. His current contract with the Blues expires in the summer of 2025 and talks over a new deal have stalled.
There is currently a big difference in the salary demands of the player and what the Blues are willing to offer. This could pave the way for his exit during the summer.
Tottenham first tried to sign Gallagher last year, but were put off by the £50 million price tag. They did not make a winter move, but plan to return for him this summer.
Chelsea may have to reduce their asking price for their club graduate. They desperately need to balance their financial books by June 30 to avoid likely FFP breaches.
