Jurgen Klopp reacts after shock Liverpool defeat vs Crystal Palace
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed his disappointment after a surprise 1-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace.
The Merseyside giants went into the game as clear favourites and many predicted them to secure a convincing win at Anfield.
However, Palace stunned them with a terrific performance. Eberechi Eze scored an early goal and they managed to hold onto the lead.
Speaking after the game, Klopp said that he was not fully convinced by the team's performance and was not pleased with the defending.
He said: "It wasn't a fully convinced team on the pitch. It's a really difficult one. We weren't great. Crystal Palace had far too many football moments where we ran in the wrong direction."
With the defeat, Liverpool have moved down to third in the league table with 71 points, the same as Arsenal who have a better goal difference.
Manchester City are now the new league leaders with 73 points on the board and should be favourites to win the title with an easy run-in.
