The club graduate is currently on a short-term loan at Borussia Dortmund from the Blues where he has registered two goals and two assists.

Maatsen currently has a £35 million release clause in his contract and reports claim that Dortmund will trigger the figure in the next transfer window .

The Dutchman has already conveyed his decision to the Blues and it is only a matter of time before he makes the permanent switch to Dortmund.
